So Christopher wanted to start the day by making his bed :-) Make sure those corners are just so...
So we decided that our second day in Singapore would be spent at the zoo. Fantastic place with lots to see and do.

Ice Cream stop...Ben and Jerry's...yummy! |
It was a really hot day so the icecream melted very quickly - needed to ask for emergency bowls! Christopher got progressively more chocolatey!
So off we set to explore. Like I said it was a really hot day and the zoo was relatively busy (probably as it was a Sunday - lots of people about).
Lots of things to see...
Though it really did surprise me as to what Christopher was excited by. This is him pointing out the fish in the stream...which were right by the lions which he wasn't bothered by!

Trying to look cool! |
Part way round we discovered a water park that we didn't know was going to be there - swimming kit back at the hotel! We managed to buy some kit near the water park (obvious cunning planning on the part of the zoo), so Chris could spend a while cooling down in the water. Two hours worth of splashing fun!

Water Park to die for! |
Well and truly ready for action!
Finished at the water park...a spot of riding next.

Eye Spy... |
So we'd been at the zoo for around 9 hours and we were thinking we'd head back to the hotel. Then we remembered that the zoo did a 'Night Safari' - we'd heard various things about this from other people who'd been to this and said it was very good. We decided to stick around - grab some dinner, and buy a ticket to see those nocturnal animals.
While we had dinner, we had front row seats to watch the fire show as the sun began to go down.
So...not many pictures to show of the night tour...it was fascinating...and great fun, but by this time we'd been out and about in the Singapore heat for about 11 hours and both of us were feeling it.
My camera does have a 'night shot' setting on it...but no idea how to use it, so I'm afraid no stunning pictures to show of sloths or tapirs.....
